Beverages and More!

Just a quick reminder to myself to never, ever order anything from BevMo! online for in-store pickup: I did it again today, one year and two months after I did it the first time, and again found myself waiting at the store for twenty minutes while the staff wandered around trying to figure out how to get me out of the store.

Better yet: the main reason I did so was to buy a bottle of Torani Amer... and when I got to the store after receiving their confirmation E-mail that they had pulled the bottle of Amer, I was told that they had none in stock, so I'd just have to make do with the rest of the order (Chandon sparkling wine from California at a ridiculously cheap $9.49 a bottle, plus some Spanish rosé and a bottle of Asbach Uralt, which I was compelled to buy after watching Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse earlier in the week).

I spent the twenty minutes waiting for them to figure out how to print out the piece of paper they needed me to sign, which gave me plenty of time to search the back of the store for that bottle of Torani Amer. I found it pretty much where I thought it would be: in the weird, probably unsellable section just below the Becherovka and next to the Cynar. So yay, I snuck it in the case of stuff they'd set aside and escaped the store with it after all. I won't know if I actually paid for it until it shows up on my credit card statement, though. :)
