Sunday morning in Brisbane.

I've been up since seven, tidying up our hotel room and doing laundry - after one night out on the town, everything positively reeks of smoke. So, it's all clean now, but not quite dry yet.

On second thought, last night wasn't a complete bust. There were one or two pleasant, friendly folks out, but I have to say that I find it very hard to carry a conversation when I'm in the middle of a pinball game (a very camp WWF machine, obviously almost never played - everything was still working perfectly). And, of course, the second friendly gentleman was the one working the entrance desk who expressed surprise that I wasn't planning on coming back as I left before midnight. Got a very friendly hug from him, and that was pretty okay by me. It's always nice when another man is friendly without coming on to you.

So, yeah. Gotta pack up and get out of here in another couple of hours. Dan's booked a room at a gay B&B here in town, and we're moving over there for the next three night. Me, I'm skittish about the whole idea, but Dan says it sounds good to him. Yeah, I'd rather keep on here at the Y (I like the room really well and it's much cheaper), but who's to argue?
