The aspect ratio is off but...

I mentioned that we were serving Portia de Rossi's famous Hot Ham Water at our wedding - and yes, I was kidding. We had spätzle, grilled asparagus, Zürcher Geschnetzltes, gulasch, and mixed greens with blue cheese, candied walnuts, and a homemade vinaigrette.

That was preceded by bruschetta, smoked salmon crostini, eggplant fritters, and country pâté with olive - and thanks again to Kim/kdotdammit for interrupting the post-wedding photography with a tray of hors d'oeuvres so that we could enjoy a break and get some food. I was not only famished, but I was also afraid I would miss out on the food we'd paid for!

Finally, I should post a shout-out to Schatzi's Catering, who handled absolutely everything to do with food and beverage service (save for the beverages themselves, which we prepared and chilled; they displayed and served them). Wolfgang and Lothar were an absolute delight to work with; their food is delicious, but more importantly they made us feel completely comfortable and took care of all of the details. I loved looking up at the balcony after the toast and seeing them giving us the "OK, pass the hors d'oeuvres now?" look. Thank you again for helping make it all happen.

If you're ever in North Park, do stop by Tioli's Crazee Burger - that's where the wedding food was prepared. They have the best hamburgers I've ever had in California - and the fries are to die for as well.
