Sydney is lovely this time of year. It's cooler, less humid, and sunnier than it was in February. I'm finding that I might even like it a little bit this time around. There's nothing much to do today save finish the wash and then maybe check out a museum or two in the afternoon. Then, it's off to dinner with the most excellent Julian and his partner.
Speaking of whom, Julian was inordinately kind and brought over a bottle (amongst others) of an aged Hunter semillon on Thursday night. It wasn't bad, really, certainly distinctive and unique. However, Iain hit the nail on the head when he remarked that the wine "smelled like tuna". It does actually smell remarkably similar to Chicken of the Sea (water not oil). It tastes pretty fine though, and I was delighted to have had a chance to see what all the fuss is about.
I'm going to keep it short this time 'round. We're off to see the rest of the country tomorrow, and I have a lot of packing and reorganizing to do, 'specially 'cuz we've got a third man to make space for in the truck. Time to go see if I can figure out how to cram more stuff in the tucker box...
