Fun with Wikipedia

After noticing that whiskerfish added himself to Wikipedia's article on notable LJ users, presumably after reading thornyc's most recent post, I thought about reverting his edit... but I didn't.

Instead of reverting his edit, I re-edited the article to insert his entry into the correct alphabetically ordered place on the page.

Dear readers: What's the correct etiquette in this situation? Revert the edit? Politely remind Fish that Wikipedia is not a valid avenue of self-promotion, but rather an encyclopedia? Ignore it? Demand proof that Fish is indeed a "notable" poet?

More importantly, why should I even care about this stuff?
