Day 4: The end of home camping

Day 4 started well. I woke up at around 9:30 - we went to a wonderful Christmas party at my cousin Doug's last night, and didn't get home until pretty late. I lay in bed trying to get up the nerve to go outside in my skivvies to get the generator going so that we could get some heat and Internets - and then the carbon monoxide alarm went off at 10:15 AM. This was excellent news - it was plugged into mains power, and it beeps whenever it's plugged in, so we knew that we once again had power. Yay!

So I got up, made Dan a bowl of Malt-O-Meal, made myself some toast, and now I'm back at my desktop computer with a fresh cup of Peets coffee. The water pressure is slowly returning, so I forsee spending some time in the shower a bit later on. Yay!
