This morning, a friend here at work introduced me to a friend of his who's looking to hire testers in another deparment with the company. I sent a brief E-mail outlining what I've done... and received this message in response:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[Error 583] The e-mail account does not accept e-mail from people who admit working on Netcape Communicator. Check the subject matter carefully, and and avoid embarrasing admissions during initial contact.

Needless to say, I fired back an E-mail as quickly as I could, stealing Mozilla's home page [that you see when you're running an older version of Mozilla] and tweaking it thusly:
Hey! Your copy of Internet Explorer is more than three years old. Unless you’re using a modern Web browser, you may experience a lack of standards support and/or become frustrated due to the lack of tabbed browsing. So if you're not running the latest milestone, we could use your help testing either that or the latest nightly build. (Be warned that nightly builds are development software, and there is no guarantee that they won't fry your processor, insult your mother, or cause you to break out in a nasty rash.) For further information, please refer to the Mozilla Quality Assurance page. |
