For those of you who don't know Windows Media HD, it's Microsoft's codec for HD video encoding. If you have a Media Center PC hooked up to a HD-ready set [as I do], the quality is absolutely stunning. However, if you have a reasonably modern PC [preferably any Pentium 4 with hyperthreading] and a reasonably high resolution display [say, 1280 by 1024], then you should be able to check this out on your PC.
Best of all, I understand this is gonna be part of the next generation DVD standard - so there's hope yet that you can get hi-def DVDs in the future. Right now, there's only one Hollywood movie HD-DVD - Terminator 2 - and I'd like to see more, 'cuz once you've seen a HD-DVD, you're aware of how ordinary regular old DVDs look.
