Can't write long - have to go relax for a bit - but this was my first full day in London, and wow! What fun! Spent the morning at Kew and the afternoon getting grocery shopping done; now, it's time to relax with a bottle of Lingenfelder riesling and have an Indian dinner later on. Best of all, I've sourced a Chatsford teapot so that I can enjoy my bacon tea (actually, smoky Earl Grey) before Dan gets here and is grossed out by it. The pot came from Whittards; the first location I went to on Oxford Street was staffed entirely by non-native English speakers (French, I think) who were unable to sell me a teapot (they were confused by the difference between 2 and 6 cups), so I had to walk a few dozen blocks north and pick it up near Goodge Street (I think it was). Thankfully, it kinda matches the kitchen here - I don't think my parents are going to throw it out. Best of all - and this is a first for a Chatsford pot - it doesn't dribble all over the damned place. Three cheers to the salesperson who let me sneak into their break room and test it before leaving the store. :)
