My copy of Mac OS X Panther Version 10.3 arrived in this morning's mail. I'd ordered it so that I could make sure that MSN Mobile functionality works fine on the current version of Safari [curse you Apple for not making it available for Jaguar!].
Even thought the installation media have been updated to Version 10.3.2, it still has an awful lot of updates to download and install - 165.6 MB, and that doesn't include the piddly stuff like Apple Remote Desktop Client 1.2.4 (832 KB), Battery Update 1.1 (520 KB), and so on.
Yikes, that's a lot! Heck, I remember the first Mac I ever bought, a Centris 610 back in 1993 - its hard drive was only 80 MB, or less than half the size of a system update circa 2004. Amazing.
With any luck, though, Panther will finally allow me to use the AirPort on the Microsoft corporate network. Yay!
