Where´s the sun?

Well, it´s not up yet. Seven in the morning and no sun... there´s just something funky about Iberia. Nice that they chose to be in the same time zone as Germany, but weird that they´re so far west. I don´t mind the sun going down later in the day, though.

It´s almost time to head back to the hotel and get breakfast, after which we check out and pick up our rental car at Barcelona Estacio Sants, woohoo. Then, up to the Montserrat monastery, over to Figueres for the Dali museum, and then back down to Sants to drop off the car and get in our compartment for the overnight train to Malaga.

Yesterday was absolutely lovely. It was warm enough to not need a jacket, and the Sagrada Familia was incredible. Lunch wasn´t bad although somewhat pricy at $15 a head (two courses, dessert, coffee, and a bottle of the most expensive pink wine on the menu). Sadly, we fell asleep before sundown and messed up our sleep schedule again.

Tonight, I hope to get a picnic together before we get on the train so that I can live out my fantasy of drinking Rioja and eating ham, almonds, etc. while hurtling through the night (if you can call 50 kph hurtling) to Andalucia.
