And the answers are:

- I went with the Creative Zen Xtra MP3 player. It came to $262 with tax and shipping.

[The iPod would have been $454 - the iPod holds two thirds as much music, has half the battery life, and doesn't play WMA files. I am kind of curious as to why so many folks suggested the iPod - it seems like it can't possibly be worth the extra money given its limitations - or can it?]

- I replaced the 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 processor in my PC with a 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 - now with hyperthreading!

[Most folks recommended the dual processor G4, but replacing the processor was $3,000 cheaper, and I wouldn't have to give up some apps I use a lot (such as MapPoint). Need I say more? I am curious to see how it stacks up against the G5 in terms of ripping CDs, though; I think I can find a G5 around here somewhere and report back in a few weeks...]

- I went for the frozen pizza.

[Actually, a Papa Murphy's fresh pizza. Garlic chicken supreme. It sucked. I should've stuck with the Hawaiian.]

- Finally, I'm not going to see Matrix Revolutions unless forced to at gunpoint. I was OK with the first one [on an aside: when AOL took over Time Warner, all AOL employees received a free VHS tape of The Matrix. I always thought that was silly.] but the second one bored me out of my skull. Especially the "erotic rave" crap. Yawn.
