9 September 2002: Peak Charles, WA
It took me a few minutes to realize what's going on here... subtle!
Peak Charles was the one place we visited in all of Australia that was truly deserted. We didn't see anyone for nearly eight hours straight: no traffic, no hikers. Totally empty parking lot, nothing to see in the distance for a hundred miles in any direction.
I hope to go back in September 2007.
