Seriously. Just listened to the first fifteen minutes or so of his [and Soderbergh's] commentary on the Solaris DVD, and I think I can now forgive him for Titanic. [Then again, I actually do admire aspects of Titanic, but I'll save that for another post.] I can't believe I just heard Cameron say something along the lines of, well, Lem's story is very 1960s; after all, his story is a sort of Auseinandersetzung with quantum physics and perhaps more specifically with the Heisenbergian uncertainty principle.


And to think that Dan picked up on the whole Cat in the Hat Box aspect of the narrative without even listening to the commentary track. Damn, I love that man. Woofy as hell. Smart too.
