Orlando again.

I've spent most of today on my own, and it's been just fine. I didn't wake up until late - stayed up too late reading last night - but I still had time to dash over to the cool hole in the wall wine store on Fairbanks, not too far away from the Holiday Inn. I was amused to see that they had Goats do Roam wine in stock - it's a cheap and cheerful South African red blended wine, and I of course had to buy a bottle for old time's sake; Dan and Matthew and I enjoyed a bottle in London last November. The shop was empty, so I talked shop with the owner for a while (Petrus is all Merlot, where to visit in Australia, Randall Grahm funny wine names, etc.) That was hugely enjoyable, and I also got Dan a super secret special surprise bottle which I'm going to share with him upon reaching our 25th anniversary in 2018. :)

Then, I had a wonderful lunch with my old friend L., whom I hadn't seen in years. It was a great opportunity to clear up a few things from the past, as well as just enjoy his company and his handsome bearded mug. After dropping him off at the airport, I headed on home to have a Coke and borrow Dave's laptop for another few hours.

So, it's off to dinner in a bit for me. Bye!
