OK, time to scoot.

I just had my third, final, and most challenging Tokyo breakfast yet. This time it was a heap of small, anchovy like fish in a sweet glaze with sesame seeds - eventually I dove right in, figuring you could eat the bones with no problem. And lo and behold, I guessed correctly. Gaijin 1, Tokyo 0.

Now all I need to do is start the schlep of my baggage to the airport in Osaka. The only really bad part is going to be the subway ride - only three stops to Ueno station, but it:s going to be nightmare crowded by the second stop, and my bags are extremely heavy. (Surprise, it:s mostly back issues of G-Men, along with a few bottles of Japanese grape wine and various other weirdness.)

Assuming everything goes smoothly from Ueno onwards (I change at Tokyo for the Sanyo shinkansen to Shin-Osaka, and from there it is some kind of express airport train I have not been on before), I expect to be checked in for my flight by about 14.30, and in the air at 18.00. See you soon!
