... or at least unavailable.

I'm currently trying to download a copy of Run Runnie Run, the not-as-yet-released Mr. Show movie. This is taking ages, and the quality probably won't be for shit - heck, I don't even know if this bootleg is even of mediocre quality.

But it has reminded me about some movies I've always wanted to see but which just aren't widely available. For example, I saw Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story in college (legitimately at the time), but I can't go buy me a copy to watch again. This sucks. Other movies such as Bartleby (you know, the Melville story, but with Crispin Glover) and The Day The Clown Cried (the notorious Jerry Lewis Nazi flick) I can't find either.

Then again, as with some music, most of the allure is probably that it's so hard to come by. I enjoy owning an original copy of Negativland's U2 far more than actually listening to it.
