In the meantime, I'm about done fixing things up. Got most of the wine sorted (had a 1996 Kim Crawford Rory (sparkling pinot/chardonnay/meunier) last night that was phenomenally good) and should figure out how to get all 7 bags packed soon enough. Ordered fabric swatches for a replacement jacket (you know, that schlubby Lands End one I like so much) in my new, improved size (LT, down from XXLT) so I won't freeze too much when I get back to California. Oh, also hooked up a subscription to New Scientist for good reading when I get home. Pity it has a 3 week delivery time to California - guess it's printed in the UK.
Today: go to Medibank Private and get a refund (hopefully). Go to Dymocks in search of the elusive Australian place name dictionary. Mail back a book box at the post office. Get a haircut. Have dinner with bitchen friends. Should be fun!
